Hope you had a great weekend. I definitely did -- I got to spend time with a lot of my favorite people, watch my school's football team get a huge win, and relax a bit! I am ready to take on another great week of class and work :)
Today I wanted to share a fun look featuring a flashback to my childhood. The 90s have been resurfacing in fashion often lately, but I think I've seen it even bigger for the coming season. Specifically these pair of shoes! The Steve Madden Slinky were a big trend when I was little -- and now they are back. And not just as a replica -- Steve Madden re-released these shoes with the exact design as when they were big twenty years ago!
I was talking to my mom about this recently and it makes me feel old to see styles relived twice...its one thing to participate in the bell sleeve trend of the 70s or the neon trend from the 80s...but to be old enough to wear a trend more than once in its fashion life cycle....that is just weird!
I don't see it as a surprise that this style is making a comeback as flatform shoes have been big for a time. Personally, I like the added height without the hassle or stress of wearing heels. Plus these shoes are so comfy!
I paired the statement shoes with a simple striped wrap dress. I always love wrap dresses and this black and white stripe print is perfect for fall as dark colors are always appropriate. Pair it with a hat and booties and maybe a long cardi for a perfect fall look too!

I love this outfit! It would work for so many things. It also caught my eye because I'm looking for a black outfit right now. I definitely want to see about getting some of those Steve Maddens! They look so comfortable!
