FASHION ESSENTIALS: MY FAVORITE TEES

Hey y'all!

I had an idea for a fun series to start - talking all about basics in my wardrobe and where I like to purchase them from! I have been inspired lately to work towards a capsule wardrobe (it's definitely a work in progress...my closet is still overflowing but I'll get there someday soon!)

I thought what better place to start than basic tees! I have tried a lot of basic tees in the past and I've found a few great brands that I love. I thought I would share each of them and why!

1. Everlane. I know Everlane has been under scrutiny for some of their practices, but these are truly some of my favorite tees. They are so soft and great quality, and not to mention come from a more sustainable supply chain, which is something that is super important to me.

2. Madewell Whisper tee. These are an awesome staple and also really great quality! Madewell tees are some of the best and come in tons of colors. They also have a v-neck tank version that is awesome, too!

3. Daily Ritual crew neck tee. These were a surprising find for me, but I really like this brand. It's actually a brand from Amazon! They are definitely a little more thin and might not last quite as long as some of the other options, but they come in packs of 2 for under $20 so they are a great affordable option, and for something I wear constantly, I don't mind as much shopping fast-fashion for these.

4. Universal Thread v-neck. These are a great dupe for the Madewell option - Target also runs sales on these quite often so you can get great deals on them! They are comparable to the Madewell whisper tees for a fraction of the cost.

5. & Other Stories muscle tank. This one is a bit trendier - but I still wear it like a basic wardrobe piece. This tee actually has a bit of padding in the shoulders, so it makes for a really beautiful shape on!

I hope you all enjoyed this round-up post! Where are your favorite places to get staple pieces for your wardrobe? Be sure to let me know in the comments!
