Take Me Out to the Ballgame!

Hey y'all!

It's been a whirlwind of a weekend for me -- but whirlwind in a good way. I thought I would share with y'all all that I did because I had a blast!

So it started on Friday, I left Manhattan with a group of probably 35 YoungLife friends. We were taking our YoungLife college weekend trip to Kansas City. I rode with my fellow leader, Maddie, and two of our friends, Eunice and Megan. We listened to music really loud the whole time and just jammed out!

We arrived to KC and headed straight to Kauffman Stadium for a Royals game. I had never seen the Royals play before -- and they got a win! It was buck night, which meant dollar hot dogs, too. I also had my first order of Dippin Dots, which was an experience too! It was also the perfect night to be sitting outside.

After the Royals game, we hung out at the hotel, and then I went to bed. I knew the next day was going to be packed full and I was completely exhausted! We woke up the next morning, had breakfast, and then we went to Skyzone, which was a trampoline park. It was literally the most exhausting thing and I was completely drenched with sweat. But so much fun too!

After Skyzone we had lunch at Chickfila and then we drove home. I had a few hours to shower and get ready, and then I had to meet up with friends for Pi Phi's formal! It was a crazy afternoon but so worth it. We took pictures at Pi Phi, went to dinner at Houlihan's, and then went to the dance. It was at the Country Club here in Manhattan and was probably one of my favorite date parties so far! I am super awkward so I didn't really dance but I still had fun hanging out with all my friends and sisters!

another legitimately candid laughing picture of Carolina and I. She's the greatest!
This is Sarah and she is super cool! Plus we have matching haircuts now.
one of my future roomies, Baylee. I can't wait to live together in Pi Phi next year!
and lastly, Nate and I. So thankful for him :)
Formal ended with a literal downpour of rain and curling up with some blankets and a cream cheese, chicken and bacon pizza from Pizza Shuttle and a good night's sleep. Eating healthy isn't my forte...ha. Sunday was spent going to church, having lunch with my small group leader and her husband, and tons of studying with some YoungLife friends in the library.

All in all, it was a pretty amazing weekend! I'm sad for it to be over because now reality (and tons of exams this week) are what I have to face. Here's to a quick week and the chance for another amazing weekend!

xoxo,
Kenzie
