plaid shirtdress + life update

hey y'all!

It has been a hot minute since I sat down and wrote out a new post -- the past couple weeks have been absolutely crazy, so I have had them scheduled out for the most part. I am really excited for this post, one because I love the look I am showing y'all, but also because I have a little life update/announcement!

So for the outfit, I love this because it is so fall and I love it. Of course! This plaid shirt dress is actually a Gap Kids find, but I linked a couple really cute and similar ones. I love it because it super flattering, but also insanely comfortable. With it I wore these fringed, knee-high boots which are amazing I think! I have been wanting a pair of these so badly, and when I found this pair that actually fit somewhat snugly around my knee, I had to have them. They are a tricky thing to purchase, but once you find the right pair, they are so flattering. They will look good with jeans and sweaters once it gets cool as well.

And for the life update, I actually adopted a dog, and I am so excited! You can see in the photos, but he is a Springer Spaniel hunting dog, and he's wonderful. His name is Scout. He's actually not a puppy, and is 8 years old. But, being a college student, it is hard work to have a dog, let alone a puppy, so my boyfriend (who is also taking care of him) decided that this would be the best way for us to own a dog now since he would be a little less high maintenance. If you aren't following me on Snapchat, you totally should (@klasskenzieblog) because you would have seen this announcement already! We took him to get his first pup cup from Starbucks, and it was so cute. :) I love him so much already and can't wait to be a great dog mom!

Hope y'all have a great week, thanks for reading!

  1. Adopting a dog is the best thing to ever happen to me, so excited for you!

Adopting an older dog will be way less maintenance for sure, so that's exciting. He's a cutie, love spaniels!
