THANKSGIVING OUTFIT INSPO

Hey y'all!

Happy Thursday. I mentioned this on Instagram, but does anyone feel like the weeks just fly by? Every week as I'm writing my Thursday blog post, I can hardly believe it is Thursday once again. It just feels like time is zooming past. I have had crazy busy weekends lately, with lots of fun plans, so I think that helps -- I always have something to look forward to!

Anyways, today I wanted to share some outfit inspo for Thanksgiving. I always love dressing up even though I just end up changing into sweats by the evening bc food comas am I right?! But, my family always does it to where we dress nice for our Thanksgiving meal -- which I of course never complain about.

This year, I think skirts are a major trend. I see them everywhere -- in varying patterns, fabrics, etc. I have my eye on a tweed skirt -- but for now, I am wearing this suede one because it is a favorite of mine. I got this one last season during the NSale, and its actually from the kids' section. However this style is plenty popular so I linked several similar options down below in the widget if you want to shop them!

I paired the skirt with this simple black turtleneck tee. These are under $20 and usually also 30-40% off so definitely a great staple to pick up. They are soooo soft and comfortable too which I love! They are great for pairing under jackets, sweaters, vests, etc. or just by themselves like I am wearing!

Lastly, I finished off the look with some OTK boots -- another big time favorite of mine. I love dresses + skirts with OTK boots. Such a fun/sassy & bold look! Of course any fall outfit is not complete without a conductor/cabby hat in my opinion. Of course you could do without if you aren't into that style...or pair a faux fur vest or even a puffer vest with this look. The options are endless and you can definitely make it edgier, or steer more in the classic/preppy direction depending on your accessories.

I hope you all enjoyed this look! I seriously can't believe we are just a few weeks away from Thanksgiving. Already dreaming of the pie... :) Speaking of pie, its probably one of my favorite traditions! My grandma is the queen of pies...we're talking homemade crusts, fillings and everything. She's even invented her own pie flavor we call the "Marley Berry" bc her name is Marley. She is all the goals let me tell you! Anyways, I have gotten really into helping out with the pies and I actually don't think I'm too bad at making them. Last year my grandma and I made a really cool lattice top pie and one that had little cutouts that said 'ho ho ho' for Christmas inside. This year I kind of want to try a braided top one...we'll see though. I'm training to be half as good as my grandma at pies!!!

Ok enough about that, I hope you all enjoyed this post! Thank you so much for reading. Do you have a favorite Thanksgiving tradition? Be sure to leave me a comment telling me about it! or just about what you're planning to wear for Thanksgiving because I'm also interested in that :)
