Hey y'all!
For today's post, I wanted to continue in my #OfficeHour series and share with y'all what I keep as essentials in my work tote. I have really enjoyed working and the routine of being a professional for the summer if you will. I have also by this point mastered the art of lugging anything and everything I could possibly need throughout the day in my tote! Here are some of my favs/must-haves.
Lara Bars/snacks.
I pretty much always have a snack of some sort in my bag, but I like to keep a Lara Bar because they are super filling and have really wholesome ingredients. I have been into eating holistically as much as possible so these fit right along! If I'm running late in the mornings, they are a decent substitute for a full breakfast, or they work in a pinch if I find myself starving at 3pm. My favorite flavors are the peanut butter chocolate chip if I'm needing something extra sweet, or the apple pie for a less dessert-like snack or breakfast.
Favorite pens.
I always keep a few of my favorite pens in my tote because you never know when you might need to jot something down while in a meeting! These pens are my absolute favorite and they make taking notes enjoyable!
Matte lipstick.
My go-to, matte lipstick? I love this one! It is under $5 and comes in sooo many great colors. I have a handful of the colors and wear them almost every day because they are so matte and stay on basically all day, even if I'm drinking coffee or eating. I'm basically a lipstick hoarder and I can have five different chapsticks or lipsticks in my purse at any given time...oops!
Coffee creamer to-go.
I am such a coffee lover, and sometimes I need a little boost throughout the day. I keep these at my desk at work, and also in my tote because I honestly never spend time in my cube! They taste just like the sugar-free creamer I use in my coffee in the mornings, but do not require refrigeration. The office I work at has a great cafe with amazing locally brewed coffee so it is definitely a great afternoon pick me up!
Cute notepad.
I am such a type-a kinda gal, so I have a million different notepads to jot down notes for different aspects of life. I always keep one in my work tote that is strictly for writing down notes or things I need to remember. Especially since I am interning this summer, I want to make sure I take it all in and don't forget anything important! I love this one and its under $6!
Planner.
I love my planner sooo much, it is basically my lifeline! Mine has a section for a to-do list, to-call list, to-email list, and a goal setting section, so I love filling those out each week. I have a whole post here about my planner and my organization tips! I found this one that is really similar and even cuter than mine ;)
Favorite gum.
Besides being a lipstick hoarder, I am also a gum hoarder! I chew gum all the time and always have this kind on hand. I am just about always chewing gum so I go through so much of it!
Small wallet.
I finally upgraded to a more mature looking wallet and I love this little envelope one to keep my ID + cards in! Its great for my work tote because I can always have it on hand if I need to run and grab a coffee in between meetings at work, and it also doesn't weigh down my bag. The best part? It was under $6! How great is that?!
What do you keep in your tote at all times? Leave me a comment down below!
Thanks for reading!
"For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline."
