5 TIME SAVING TIPS FOR THE MORNINGS

Hey y'all!

Today I wanted to share a few tips I have on how to make mornings go more smoothly and to save time. If you're like me -- that time before heading out the door is precious! I am a morning person for sure, but it is still important to me to be able to have time for the things that matter most and help me get going on the right foot, and to not be stressed or frantic. Here are five things that I like to do to make sure my mornings are relaxing!

1. Set your stuff out the night before. This is a no-brainer for me -- something I have been doing for years! I make sure my bag is all packed for the day, and I try and pick out my outfit and even lay everything out. That way you are not wasting any time when getting ready. If I don't pick out an outfit the night before, I usually end up changing multiple times which is a huge time waster!

2. Pack your lunch ahead of time. Another thing I do the night before is making sure my lunch is packed. If you're into meal prepping, this is a great thing to do at the start of your week. It will allow you to not spend as much time in the morning getting a meal ready for work or school. Instead, it'll be in the fridge and all you have to do is grab it and go! I usually make a big salad for lunch every day, but having it all prepared makes a huge difference. It will also save you from eating fast food or expensive cafe lunches.

3. Find simple breakfast. I love oatmeal, so I always make overnight oats. I put my oats in a jar with some water, peanut butter and a bit of maple syrup. I can easily throw it in my bag and heat it up once I get to work and it makes the mornings go that much faster because I don't have to waste time making breakfast and trying to eat it in a rush as I'm heading out the door. You could also go for hard boiled eggs and fruit, or some sort of bar like a LaraBar. I think this is one of my most time-saving hacks!

4. Practice a quick beauty routine. I have figured out what steps in my routine are crucial to my daily makeup look, and taken out things that are less necessary. For example, I only wear eyeshadow, contour, and eyeliner on days when I have extra time or when I'm going to church. By sticking to concealer, bronzer, blush, and mascara for work, I can still feel confident without taking more than 15 minutes to get ready.

5. Use your time wisely. This seems like an ovbious tip, but I have specifically allocated my time in the morning to make sure that I have enough time to get all the things done that I need to. For example, some of the most important things to do in the morning for me is working out, drinking coffee, having a worship/prayer time, and getting ready. I also know that I have a 25 minute commute. So, I try and combine things together. I drink coffee while getting ready, work out first thing, and I utilize my time in the car to pray and listen to worship music. I know I have to sit still and drive, so I try and make that time worthwhile. I can still fit everything I want into my morning without feeling stressed!
