white midi skirt

Hey y'all!

Happy 4th of July! Hope you are enjoying this wonderful holiday weekend and celebrating accordingly! I am so thankful to live in this country founded on freedom and to be able to live, worship, and speak in the way that I please! I am so thankful for all the men and women who put their lives on the line to protect us and allow us to keep the freedoms we have fought for!

I put together a little red white and blue outfit that I just love! I bought this white midi skirt forever ago from Old Navy, and never could figure out how to style it the way I liked. After some serious alterations and some creative thinking, I found a way that works for me! I tied this gingham printed top from Target and rolled the sleeves to combat the major humidity we are having in Kansas (notice my hair...it had been curled at one point!) I paired it with some nude heels only because I feel like I need heels to make the skirt appear more flattering, but if I were wearing this for the actual 4th of July, I would probably just stick to sandals!

Today I am working at my internship (downfalls of retail) but then later tonight my grandparents are coming over for a cookout and my brothers and dad will put on a firework show for us. Fireworks are really big where we live, and especially in my family! I will probably post a look of what I wear for the 4th, either on my blog or my instagram, so be sure to check for that!

Thanks for reading, y'all!

"So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." 2 Corinthians 4:18
