Q&A Post #1

Hey y'all!

So a few weeks ago, I took to Instagram and Snapchat to ask y'all what questions you wanted to know about my life. I have recently gained a lot of new friends on Insta/the blog (yay !!!) and I thought what better way than to start a little series of Q&A posts? I want to do them every couple months perhaps, just so y'all can get to know me better and I can answer some of the comments that I get asked a lot :)

1. What is your major?
I go to Kansas State University in case you didn't know! I absolutely love it, and I'm so sad that my junior year has begun because that means I'm halfway done with school and the thought of 100% adulting with a real job and all that just sounds less than enjoyable. Part of the reason why I love my school so much is because I think my major is the most fun thing you could ever study! My degree will be in Apparel and Textiles with an emphasis in Marketing. I am also pursuing two minors, one in Business Administration and one in Public Relations. I am super all over the place because I have a lot of areas I am interested in, but it keeps me busy!

2. What is your go-to college outfit?
This one is such a fun question! Like I said above, I am a fashion major, and while most college students wear Norts and oversized t-shirts, I try to not do that too often. Plus, I am finally starting to build relationships with professors, and I just prefer to look more put together and professional. I also have an on-campus job, which means on the days that I work, I can't bum it, either. That being said, I have a handful of basics that I love to wear for work and class. Chino shorts are usually a go-to for work, because they are long enough for the dress code. With that I might wear a flowy top, either a peplum tank or something like that which provides comfort. I also love cute and flowy dresses because you look so put together without trying! And on the weekends or for sorority chapter, I live in dresses because pants are not my favorite! Then I usually accessorize with a watch and a simple necklace. You can shop some of my must-haves down below!

3. What is your favorite Starbucks order?
This is another good one. I usually try to eat really healthy, so if its just a regular day that I am craving Starbucks, I usually get a grande iced coffee with soy milk and splenda instead of the classic sweetener. However, if its a special day, I will get a skinny Vanilla Latte. And of course I am a sucker for a Pumpkin Spice Latte, Peppermint Mocha, or a Salted Caramel Mocha Frappucino during the holidays!

4. What was the last book you read?
This one makes me feel a little guilty, because I feel like I rarely have time to read anymore! The last book I read for fun was actually in the Spring (seriously embarrassing) but it was #Girlboss by Sophia Amoruso. It was super inspiring and I loved it! As someone who's going into the fashion industry, it made me think a lot about my career and approach to it.

5. What is your favorite post/favorite fashion post?
This one is hard, because I have a lot of favorites. But I will pick one fashion and one not-fashion related. I used to talk a lot about my faith on here, which is something I have been slacking about, and definitely want to do more of in the future. This post was probably my favorite one I wrote, because it was definitely a harder/changing time in my life. I wrote it at the beginning of 2016, and a lot has changed since then! However, the message in that post still remains the same. The post is all about serving the Lord and our calling as Christians! A great reminder for anyone who loves the Lord!

As for my favorite fashion post, it would have to be this one! I shot it this summer, and I think it is my most viewed post to date. I love the colors, and it was just a step out of my comfort zone, which is why I love it so much I think!

6. Favorite lip color?
I think for everyday looks, like work, class, etc. I love Touch of Spice by Maybelline, and I recently have been pairing that lipstick with NYX's lip gloss in Angel Food Cake. The lipstick is super matte, which I adore! And the gloss has an amazing color, I like it by itself too.

Thank you all so much for leaving questions, and I hope you enjoyed reading this post! I loved getting to answer some of the FAQ :) Talk to y'all in Monday's post!
