WHAT TO WEAR: FALL WEDDING

Hey y'all!

Happy Monday! With fall right around the corner, I have been prepping content to pertain to just about every fall situation and need you may have when it comes to looking fashionable and on trend! I am so excited to share some of the how-to posts I have started working on, as well as some of the biggest fall trends with y'all.

For today's post, I wanted to share this adorable dress I picked up recently -- its under $30 and probably one of the cutest things I've ever seen if we're being honest! The color is sooo cute...the embroidered detailing is a major trend -- and its perfect for formal occasions this fall! If you're headed to a wedding or special event, this dress would be perfect and wouldn't break the bank!

I paired this dress with open toe booties and a fun clutch -- to me animal print is a neutral. I love pairing it with just about any outfit and I think its the perfect touch of fun for this outfit. Of course, you could go for a more neutral bag and shoe if you were looking for a more subdued look!

I hope you all enjoyed this post! The other day on Insta stories I shared a little devotional I read about being stressed/anxious/worried, and I wanted to share it again on my blog. Basically, the devotional explained how God gives peace that nothing can possibly beat. Literally nothing can overcome the power of God's peace if you allow it to work in your heart. With that being said, we often cling to other things -- stress, our to-do list, relationships, etc. We let these things, our stressors/anxiety causing things rule our lives. Its toxic, and its not what God wants for us!

A little example is that the peace God can give us is like a gold coin -- its precious and worth more than anything else. But our grip is held on a small copper coin when we don't take God's peace. We are holding onto something we think is valuable, but its not at all the best thing for us. God loves nothing more than taking our stress, worry, anxiety and making sure its as far away from us as possible. What an amazing truth!

Another little story that the devotional gave was to pretend you had a grenade in your hand and you accidentally pull the tab to set it off. You wouldn't drop it by your feet, or throw it to where other people were. You would throw it as far away from you and others as you possibly could. That is what God wants to do when we cast our burdens on Him (1 Peter 5:7). I never really thought about what it means to cast my cares on Him, other than I knew I should trust in Him when I was worried. My throwing my cares to God and letting Him handle them, he will make sure that He takes them as far away from me as possible.

While it is hard, I just need a daily reminder when I am stressed to let go of what is bothering me and allow God's peace to take over! I hope this reminder was helpful for y'all too. :)

Thanks so much for reading and talk to you in tomorrow's post!

  1. GORGEOUS! I have a question about the color of this dress; is it more green than blue? On the Target website, it looks baby blue but the color is listed as sage.
