Today I wanted to share a post about how I style layered necklaces in my everyday style. I love the look of different pieces layered together to make a bold look. This is a really big trend that has been going around so I thought what better way to chat about trends than to show exactly how I love incorporating this one! Keep reading for all my tips and tricks :)
1. Start with a statement piece. I usually like to first put on the focal point of my necklace layers, whether that be a monogram or a chunky statement necklace. This makes it easy to work around because you will know whether you need to stick to smaller, daintier pieces to complement a statement piece, or if you can opt for more stand-out pieces if your first piece is less bold.
2. Focus on different lengths. I generally like to do a mid-length necklace, a choker, and possibly a longer necklace to really get a unique and eye catching look. By grabbing different lengths, you will really accomplish the look of layered jewelry really well! It also makes it easier because you can go in steps -- one shorter, one mid-length, and one longer for a complete look.
3. Look for built-in layers. One of my favorite chokers actually comes with an attached lariat style necklace so it captures all of my layering needs in one look! It is so much easier to throw on if I'm in a hurry and it really takes out all of the thought in my look.
4. Don't be afraid to mix metals. It was once a faux-pas to mix metals but that rule has gone out the window! I love mixing metals because then I don't have to think as hard about what I will layer. I can combine all my favorite pieces at greater ease!
