MIXING PRINTS + FAVORITE FALL LIPSTICKS

Hey y’all -- happy Saturday!

Today I wanted to share an extra post for the week because I was just feeling inspired. When it comes to blogging, when I feel inspired I am really motivated -- but sometimes my inspiration comes and goes too. But lately I have really had fun coming up with ideas to share so I am excited and figured why not have a sixth post for the week?!

Anyways, today’s post is kind of random and has a couple different themes. First off, let’s chat about the outfit! I love mixing prints and I especially love mixing unexpected pieces. For this look, I started off with this blue and white striped ruffle blouse. I love the girly detailing and how high fashion this piece looks. I paired with it my favorite camo skirt which has been probably one of my most worn pieces this fall! I love that it can be paired with some of my girlier pieces to give an edgy taste to an outfit. I finished off the look with a jeweled bag and some black heeled sandals.

As for my favorite lipsticks, I of course love fall so much and with that comes fall lipsticks! I wanted to share my favorite products because I am always testing out new colors for the fall season. Here are my favorite/must have categories when it comes to fall lipsticks:

1. The perfect brown/nude (Avon True Color Perfectly Matte Lipstick in Marvelous Mocha). This one is perfect to pair with a bolder fall outfit or when I don’t want to go all out with a red lip. I always go for mattes so basically all of these options are matte formulation! This one is really affordable -- although I couldn’t link it below to shop since its from Avon. However, you can order online or find a retailer near you that would sell it.

2. Red lip! (Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Cruella.) I think this is a classic staple for all year, but especially in the fall/winter months. This one is a little mini one I got and I love it so much! The pencil format makes it so easy to apply and the color is the perfect blue undertone so it makes your teeth look white too :)

3. Deep/vampy color (Wet'n'Wild Liquid Catsuit in Video Vixen). I don’t think any fall lipstick collection is complete without a dark/vampy color like this one! This brand is my absolute favorite and I have just about every color available. I love this dark color because it isn’t quite as dark as it looks in the bottle and is definitely a buildable color as well. The formulation is also great and one of the most affordable lip products ever.

4. Everyday mauve/nude (Maybelline Matte Lipstick in Touch of Spice). I think an everyday color is something I had to mention. This one is the perfect everyday color and is one that I reach for daily. It is great because it gives you color but it isn’t too much or over the top. It is a little more depth than a nude but still wearable!

5. Berry tone (ELF Matte Lip Pencil in Berry Sorbet). This is another favorite of mine -- one, because I love the color. Secondly, the pencil application is just easy and mess-free. If you aren’t very good at lipstick or just want a really easy application process, this line is great and also really affordable.

I hope you all enjoyed this post! I am enjoying my weekend at home with my family -- watching K-State football, cuddling with my dogs, and getting to see my little brother play football. Tonight we have a ceremony for his Eagle Scout in Boy Scouts so that is such an accomplishment. I am so proud of him and so happy to be able to spend some time relaxing at home.

Talk to you in my next post!
