THURSDAY TRY-ON: SPRING PIECES UNDER $35

Hey y'all!

Today I am comin' at ya with a try-on session! Last week, I went to Target and tried on a ton of adorable spring items that are all under $35. I asked on an Instagram poll if y'all would want to see a post with photos of me trying on some of the cute stuff I found, and I thought I would share my thoughts on the pieces as well as sizing info!

I am 5'3" for reference and I typically wear an XS in tops and a 0 in pants. I just say that to let y'all know and if you want to order, you can base the size you need off what I am wearing!

I am so glad off the shoulder pieces are still in style because ya girl went crazy with them last season. I love this dress because it pairs the trendy off the shoulder with some fun touches that are new for spring 2018, such as the rouched style top. Super flattering as well and really comfortable!

Another precious OTS dress! I looove the gingham print (another returning trend for this season and I'm not complaining!) I accidentally grabbed a small in this one, and due to the flowy nature I definitely think you want to grab your normal size or even a size down if you can. It is pretty boxy for sure but so cute. There is also some really cute sleeve detail/trim and I think its a great added touch!

This dress is so cute and perfect for spring. Polka dots are a big trend and so are midi dresses. I love the asymmetrical cut of this one, as well as the cross straps in the back. Not gonna lie it took me several minutes to get this thing on while in the dressing room because of the straps ;) But once I finally got it on I just loved it. I also love the bigger print! I am wearing my true size (XS) as well. It is definitely a bit flowier and fit looser, especially in the top part so I might've tried a size smaller if they had it.

Ok here's yet another ots style top. I love the embroidered detailing, as well as the searsucker print. This one is just so precious and girly! There is also some really pretty scalloped detailing which is cute too. I think it would look cute with white jeans and bright accessories! But you could also throw a denim jacket on over while its still cooler out. I'm wearing an XS in the blouse. I also love these shorts that I am wearing throughout the photos! They are under $20 and really comfortable. I am wearing a 00 and they fit pretty true to size. I like that they don't have distressing and are a more modest length. There is a time and place for distressed/ripped denim but I always like to have a plain pair!

Another big trend for spring 2018 is the color lilac/lavender. Its everywhere and you definitely want to grab some pieces in this color! I love this little sweater/sweatshirt because its the perfect transitional piece. You could wear it now with jeans while its still not quite spring out, but you could also pair it with shorts later on for chillier summer nights. It would be a great beach piece too! I also love the lace up detail on the sides which I think makes a perfect unique twist to an otherwise more basic piece. Wearing an XS here!

I really love having simple little tees to wear in the spring and summer because when it gets hot out, I just want something breezy and comfortable. This is the perfect simple little tee, but with the added touch of a ruffle/frill on the sleeve. I think it would look cute with a basic pair of jeans/shorts but could also be tucked into a skirt for work or church. Plus its under $17! Wearing an XS in the tee.

I also snagged these jeans to try on with all the spring-y pieces. I love the embroidered detailing and the crop fit. I think they would be really cute cuffed and with some statement shoes! I am wearing a 2 here and they were clearly several sizes big but I thought they were still cute! And only $35 so a great addition to your spring wardrobe.

I could picture this blouse on the beach -- I don't know what it is about it but I think thrown over a swimsuit would just be the cutest look! I also love it with shorts, jeans, or dressed up for work. I love having versatile pieces like this to make sure your wardrobe is equipped for all occasions. Wearing an XS! But, if I was wearing it as a cover up to the beach/pool, I might size up just so it was flowier and I could wear it tunic-style.

If you can't tell, I love the little tie detail that is big this season! This tee is a great staple because it is simple enough to wear over and over, but still a fun piece. I love the bows! Plus it is lightweight so a great option to carry you into the summer months. Wearing an XS!

The only thing better than off the shoulder is one shoulder tops/dresses! I love this one -- the structure and detail of the top makes it look expensive and beautiful! It also comes in several other colors. I think you could pull off a pretty updo or ponytail and with white jeans this top would look so good! I am wearing an XS here too.

Lastly, I am wearing the same tee and jeans as a prior photo, but I just threw on this utility vest over. I love how easy it makes a whole outfit! This one is a little flowier and less structured than some, which I really like. It would look great with dresses, skirts, jeans, even shorts! If you don't already have one, this is a must have piece for your wardrobe, year round.

Here are links to all the products I mentioned in one spot!

I hope you all enjoyed this try-on! Would y'all be interested in this being a more routine thing? I would really love going to different retailers and sharing photos like these on a more regular basis. I think it is a great way to share the most recent new arrivals with y'all and if you're in the mood to shop, details on sizing, fit, etc. I know for me, I hate ordering something and having it not fit right, so I would love to help avoid that issue for y'all. :)

Anyways, thanks so much for reading! If you have a favorite piece, be sure to leave a comment down below, or if you have any requests for retailers you would like to see me test let me know that too. Thanks for following along!
