3 TIPS FOR THE PERFECT GAMEDAY STYLE

Hey y'all!

Happy Monday! I hope its off to a great start. :) last week I took an accidental hiatus in my blogging. I was honestly just really busy with school stuff and recovering from the previous weekend's travels that I just didn't have content to share. However, it was a great time to get re-motivated and excited about sharing the blog ideas that I do have up my sleeve ;)

With the weekend just passing, I thought this post would be perfect to share! As a college gal, gamedays are a pretty big deal, especially during football season. I love getting dressed up and picking out the perfect gameday look. I honestly feel like that won't change even once I'm out of college, but for now I will just use any football game as the perfect excuse to get dressed up!

I thought I would share a few ways that I create my game day outfits, as well as share a look that I would totally wear for games if it would ever actually be fall/football weather outside!

1. Start with basics.
When in doubt, start with something basic. If I am in a pinch and can't decide what to wear, I will start with something simple. I will reach for a white or black dress, and then my cowboy boots, and finish it off with a pop of purple in my accessories. This is a really easy way to make a complete gameday look!

2. Try a pop in your makeup.
This is one thing I really love! If you can pull off colored makeup, you should totally try it. Granted, if your colors are red and yellow or something wild like that, it might be harder! But, I have found at least for my school, purple is pretty easy to incorporate! I will go for a purple eye look or purple eyeliner, or my personal favorite, purple lipstick!

3. Pick a statement piece.
Often times I will begin my gameday look with a statement piece. That would be something bright purple for K-State, or just a bold dress or other accessory that I want to be the focal point of my outfit. If I have a fun pair of earrings, I will plan my outfit around those, and allow them to be the statement of my outfit. If you have a favorite pair of shoes that really make the outfit, then you can start there and then pair other pieces to compliment that piece.

Those are my favorite tips for the perfect gameday outfit! Like I said, getting dressed up for game days is a pretty big deal in college, and I of course love a good excuse to plan a fun outfit.

I also want to start a new tradition or series if you will on my blog. I have seen some other bloggers do it -- called #MemoryVerseMonday. I will be sharing more on my Instagram Stories, so be sure to check those out too.

But anyways, a goal of mine has to been better about not just reading scripture in my quiet time, but to really process it and try and live it out throughout the week. I thought it would be fun and helpful for others too if I shared a verse I was trying to commit to memory each week! I usually try to share a verse in each blog post -- but I want this one to be more intentional and a guide for my week.

This week's verse is going to be Colossians 3:15: "And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body, you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful."

I love this verse for a lot of reasons. I love how it talks about community and how we are called to love one another! Peace is what should rule our lives and guide the way we interact with others. I think it is important to always root the way you interact with others in the way that Christ shows his love for us!

This week I want to make sure that I am always building people up with the things that I say, and using my voice to encourage others and foster uplifting thoughts!

What do you think of this verse? Be sure to leave a comment down below telling me :)
